The March GoSee exhibition at Glimpse is aptly titled The Healing Energy of Color. The artworks of San Diego artists Desolina and Christina Thomas embody the concept of healing with their language of color. Desolina’s body of work is influenced by the five basic elements as grouped by Chinese medicine: earth, metal, water, fire and wood. Each element has a color that is associated with the element. This concept is the thread of Desolina’s current collection. She masterfully blends these colors together in subtle, yet powerful; rough, yet peaceful works of art that are a soothing balm to the viewer. Christina Thomas’ body of work revolves around her love of the spontaneity of creating art. Her joyful take on process is reflected in her truly beautiful pieces. Ms. Thomas’s artworks are vividly developed layers of color and texture.
